Detailed into the Configuration Management (CM) position in the 309th Missile Maintenance Group, managing, coordinating, and directing all aspects of the life-cycle management program for one or more major weapon system or subsystems supporting Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) programs.  I receive a project assignment, utilize fact-finding techniques to define or tailor the requirements to the project, and ensure it is within 309th Missile Maintenance Group policy.  Work closely with engineers, program managers, equipment specialists, and production supervisors in support of automatic test stands (ATEs), hardware, software, and all other industrial process equipment.  Specifically for programs related to the development, maintenance, modification, and other sustainment activities.  Responsible for the management of processes for equipment, ATEs, test stand computer program identification numbers (CPIN), technical orders (T.O.), and configuration change control of multi-million dollar semi-automatic and manual test stands for missile components.  Establish local policies, instructions, and plans for adhering to Air Force configuration management requirements and clarify all guidance and direction on configuration management matters.  Direct and coordinates configuration management efforts between squadrons, ensuring proper compliance.  Provide program oversight, track action items, host and attend meetings and program reviews promoting a good working relationship with the customer.  Maintain strict configuration management (CM) control over hardware, firmware, software, and all technical documentation. Work with the engineers facilitating the writing of the project contracts and/or Program Requirement Documentation (PRD), agreements, tasking documents, and developmental documents.  Monitors and controls program changes, change requests, and any anomaly to ensure software and hardware integrity is maintained.  Maintain all records for purposes of process improvement, workload evaluation, and measurement.  Act as a focal point between engineers, technicians, contractors, equipment specialists, system engineers, software development engineers, test engineers, information assurance, and system administrators along with all levels of manager both civilian and enlisted personnel for implementation of any changes and/or updating of software documentation.  Play an active role in managing and reporting status of program configured items, technical documentation, equipment, and ensure that resources are properly tracked, updated and dispositioned.  Organize and support working groups, audits, and review boards required during the life-cycle phases of all missile programs.  Prepares and presents CM status briefings at Program Management Reviews (PMRs) with customer and contractor personnel. Ensure all policy and procedures are met.  Attend the Configuration and Control Board (CCB) and supports the CCB chairman as needed.
